From dancefloors to stagecraft

Damianou Eleni Ellada, known as Ellada Dami, embarked on her dance journey at Athens’ National School of Dance in 2010 and honed her craft at P.A.R.T.S. in Brussels, graduating in 2016. A versatile artist, she has collaborated with top dance companies and choreographers, performing at international festivals, theaters, and museums. Beyond dance, Ellada’s passion extends to fashion design, where she crafts costumes, textile art, and scenography for diverse productions.

In 2022, Ellada was honored with the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Artist Fellowship by ARTWORKS. Based in Brussels, she currently contributes her expertise as a rehearsal director for the renowned companies Rosas and A7LA5, while continuing her work as a dynamic force in dance and stagecraft.

In this captivating performance, two artists blend dance and visual arts to craft an abstract maze from delicate ropes within a stark industrial setting. The intricate wall they create serves as both barrier and bridge, exploring themes of separation and unity. As the performers weave their creation, the audience moves around and through the installation, becoming part of the dynamic interplay of boundaries and connections. This immersive experience invites reflection on the delicate balance between individuality and togetherness.
