Mia Koden makes her own mark on Horst, delivering a sound that is both deep and compelling. Initially raised in Ghana and Nigeria, soundtracked by her parents’ vibrant supply of music from across the African continent and beyond, her formative years back in the UK saw frequent soundsystem pilgrimages to spaces where roots reggae, drum & bass and dubstep were heard.
