Captain Starlight, known to his mother as Ewald Dupan, is a record collector and DJ from Brussels. Long-time affiliate of Nosedrip’s label STROOM, he was previously known as co-founder of the infamous Holger parties, where he and Sixsixsixties brought greats like Morgan Geist and Optimo to Belgium. He is a magpie-like selector whose eclectic mixes, radio shows and party sets traverse pop, new wave, experimental, techno and whatever else takes his fancy. Self-styled “worst beat-mixer in the Northern Hemisphere”, he is no stranger to Horst Festival, where we know that appraisal to be nothing but self-deprecation.
