For British Jamaican/Hong Kong DJ and creative spirit Cheyanne Hudson, hip-hop is where her heart lies, and her aim is to unite that love with the rhythmic pulse of club music. Her breezy demeanour in the booth combines with the oftentimes brooding sounds she selects, conjuring a unique and involving world for dancers. The rich musical legacy of Jamaica’s sound system culture is threaded through Cheyanne’s music, from snappy amen breaks to low-end frequencies and dubby chants. Not too hip-hop for the techno kids, nor too techno for the hip-hop kids…it’s just right!
