The brainchild of Brussels-based kindred spirits and dub fanatics Elisethere & STDJ, what began as an exchange of music quickly evolved into a powerful partnership, driven by a mutual love for the deep and meditative heavyweight frequencies of sound system culture. Blending hypnotic basslines, cavernous echoes, raw percussion and immersive textures, their sound is a testament to the spirit of dub: weighty, atmospheric and deeply resonant. At Horst Festival this year, Dub Punishers are joined on the mic by Maliman, a man who knows how to ignite the crowd and deliver performances that are powerful, immersive and unifying.
