Franziska Berns was born near Offenbach am Main (Germany), and it was this town’s proximity to Frankfurt that became her gateway into the world of electronic music. Working at Freebase Records Shop in the city, her passion for DJing flourished and she quickly connected with the local scene, also launching her own event series at different clubs in the Rhein-Main area. Soon enough, that drive and perseverance earned her a residency at the highly respected Robert Johnson Club in Offenbach. Since then, her distinct style and fun selections, in Resident Advisor’s words: “ranging from minimal breaks to clever and funky techno”, have seen her career flourish, with appearances at Berghain/Panoramabar in Berlin, Breakfast Club in Amsterdam and, now, Horst Festival.
