Raised in Canada and living in Berlin since 2009, Immy is a lifelong student of music history with a big passion for the NYC music scene from 1969-1999. Specifically, this means a celebration of the disco and house sounds of David Mancuso’s Loft and Larry Levan’s Paradise Garage, but when it comes to music she is open to all grooves that move her. Immy collects and plays everything from ambient, soul, funk, disco and reggae to house, techno, electro, hardcore and progressive trance. A firm believer that the dancefloor can be a healing space, she often cuts and throws in acapellas in club sets as an additional dimension to her sonic storytelling. A fixture on Berlin's underground club circuit, from Fandango to Gegen to Lunchbox Candy, Immy is an artist you will not want to miss at Horst Festival.
