Kaito Kai is an electrifying duo consisting of Brussels-based Kaito Winse and Kai Hugo. Kaito is a griot singer, considered the storytellers and message bearers of Burkina Faso tradition. Kai aka Palmbomen II, meanwhile, is a Dutch producer now based in Antwerp. Their project together began as a wild all-night-long improv set at Het Bos, soon flourishing into a full-blown project offering a blend of global acid house, italo and offbeat percussive rhythms, infused with unconventional, almost otherworldly vocals. Imagine a fusion of Underground Resistance and the raw, vibrant energy of KOKOKO!. Their magnetic live shows weave together Kai’s synths and electronics with Kaito’s flute, vocals and expressive dance. Every performance is a unique experience: immersive, hypnotic and incredibly fun!
