Leuven-born and Brussels-based, Leonardd stumbled into the electronic music scene while working the numbers behind Horst and the party series Affair. His sound, a hypnotic blend of dubby textures and techno whispers, draws from the wells of minimalism and chases the fine line between introspection and groove. His sets can also contain a touch of darkness, contributing to an atmosphere that is entirely his own. From appearances at Brussels party Sundaze, TRAUM club in Antwerp and, of course, Horst Club, to radio mixes for Small Steps and in-stores at Crevette Records, Leonardd is part of the fabric of Belgium’s underground. He might spend most of his days calculating figures, but at this year’s Horst Festival he will be making them dance.
