livwutang and Priori both sit within a modern continuum of DJs pushing exuberant kinetics, introspective strength and chaotic dexterity to dancefloors worldwide. New York-based livwutang began her DJing journey in the psychedelic embrace of DIY rave in Seattle. Her sound is heavily grounded in the unifying spatial experience of dub, often also drawing on jubilant rhythms of Central and West Africa and her love of timeless vocal flourishes and earworm melodies. For his part, Québecois musician Priori produces and plays meticulously crafted dance music full of fractals, textures and crystalline melodies that flicker in stunning detail. He is also an inveterate collaborator, running a studio with Patrick Holland (the duo will perform at Horst Festival as Jump Source) and co-producing for artists like James K and Car Culture. We are excited to hear what these kindred spirits have in store for us.
