DJ, producer and record collector Philipp Otterbach likes to drift beyond his own consciousness, surrendering himself to the music wherever he may be. As you might expect from a Salon Des Amateurs resident, his interests lie in suspenseful storytelling, electronic obscurities, krautrock, minimalism and all sorts of tribal rhythms, not to mention eclectic voodoo dance, psychedelic guitar tsunamis, house, electro and heavy techno. All of this comes delightfully entangled via his precise mixing skills and sense for dynamics and musicality. He has been releasing his own productions since 2014, on labels like Knekelhuis, Music From Memory and long-time friend Vladimir Ivkovic’s Offen. We’re excited to hear what he brings for his debut performance at Horst Festival!
