Brussels-born multidisciplinary artist and beatmaker ShunGu blends jazz-infused sampling with gravity-defying cosmic grooves. A committed sonic architect, ShunGu’s aesthetics bridge the worlds of hip-hop, jazz, psych-rock and house with intellectual curiosity and playful creativity. His penchant for weaving stories through sound can be heard via a prolific cassette discography on Hot Record Société, contributions to compilations on labels like BBE (curated by Lefto) and Touching Bass, and his LPs ‘A Black Market Album’ (2019) and ‘Faith In The Unknown’ (2025): all lo-fi gems that have captured the hearts of beat enthusiasts around the globe.
