Tonito Yama is one of the many aliases of Antoine 80, a long-time Kiosk Radio regular and one half of the team behind Brussels label Todorecto, as well as an associate of the mysterious Metaphore Collectif in Marseille. He has been cooking up psychedelic dancefloor treats for quite some time, including last year’s beautiful ‘The Myth Crumbles, The Mystery Remains’. Released through Amsterdam label traverse, the LP displayed Antoine's modern and often cinematic interpretation of jazz music: dark, dubby and highly personal. He has also been known to edit anything and everything, from Metallica to the theme from Twin Peaks. Safe to say we don’t know what to expect when he plays at this year’s Horst Festival, but also can’t wait to find out.
