Farah Al Qasimi (UAE, 1991) makes photographs, films and music. Often working with large-scale vinyl imagery and a multiplicity of photographic prints and screens, she is interested in the internet and its hierarchies of information and emotion.

Recently, she held exhibitions at Gwangju Biennale, Francois Ghebaly Gallery, the Contemporary Art Museum of St Louis, and the Sharjah Biennial. "Buzz Pollinator" sprouts from the weeds and plant life that have been taking over the Asiat military base since it was abandoned. Blown up glowing flowers, giant mushrooms, bugs and butterflies appear amidst the greenery, exploring the concept of plant communication and the essential role of insects in pollination. By incorporating plants that are found in the local environment such as sweetbriar, lily, and wild strawberry, Al Qasimi emphasizes the importance of preserving and protecting the natural world. The metal flowers are actually music instruments, inviting to the audience to tune in with the melodies of this biotope, to imagine the ways in which plants communicate with one another through sonic emissions.

The integration of this fairy-tale garden into the park creates an immersive experience for young and old: a place of playfulness and imagination.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
