Head of Marketing & Communications

Job Description

As our Head of Marketing & Communications, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the strategic direction of our marketing and communication efforts across Onkruid Studio and its projects, such as Horst Arts & Music and Asiat Park. You will translate our vision into powerful campaigns, ensuring our projects are positioned as leading initiatives within the creative and cultural landscape. Managing a dynamic team, you will also work closely with commercial, media, and PR partners to enhance our impact and visibility.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Branding

  • Develop and implement a marketing and communication strategy for Onkruid Studio and its projects.
  • Ensure consistent and inspiring branding that reflects our vision and values.
  • Identify and seize opportunities to strengthen our national and international positioning.

Team Management

  • Lead and develop the marketing and communication team, fostering a strong team dynamic.
  • Set clear priorities, streamline processes, and ensure efficient execution of tasks.
  • Work closely with the General Director and other teams to integrate marketing and communication goals into broader organizational objectives.

Campaign & Content Management

  • Oversee the development and execution of marketing campaigns and communication plans.
  • Ensure consistency in tone-of-voice, visual identity, and storytelling across all content.
  • Monitor campaign impact and adjust strategies based on data and feedback.

Partnerships & Relations

  • Build and maintain relationships with media, press agencies, and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure that sponsor and partner deliverables are executed effectively and in line with brand identity.
  • Collaborate with the General Director to secure strategic partnerships and funding.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has at least five years of experience in a similar role within the creative and/or cultural sector.
  • Possesses strategic insight and can translate long-term visions into concrete, actionable plans.
  • Has creative expertise, with experience in branding, storytelling, and campaign development.
  • Is a strong leader, skilled in team management and talent development.
  • Excels in project management, maintaining oversight of deadlines and budgets in a dynamic environment.
  • Is adept at stakeholder management, fostering relationships both internally and externally.
  • Has a data-driven mindset, using analysis to optimize impact and ROI.
  • Is deeply engaged with the cultural and creative sector.
  • Is fluent in Dutch and English (French is a plus).
