Door Host

Job description

• Greet guests with calm and warmth at the door.
• Communicate the space's values, boundaries, and care guidelines in an accessible way.
• Spot signs of distress or escalation and flag to security and the collective care lead if needed.
• Work closely with ticketing, collective care, and club managers to keep flow and communication smooth.
• Share the spirit of the club: a space for joy, respect, connection, and care.

Profile

• Confident in speaking to large groups and addressing people clearly and calmly.
• Understands how power dynamics work at the door and takes that responsibility seriously.
• Experience in nightlife, events, collective care, or peer support.
• Can hold boundaries gently, but firmly.
• Can think quickly and stay calm under pressure.
• Flexible mindset and willing to step in with other tasks during quieter moments.
• Comfortable standing for long periods and working night hours.
• Comfortable communicating in English.
• Available for the 5 club weekends: October 17–18, November 28–29, December 31–January 1, February 13–14, March 27–29 (negotiable).
• Must be eligible to work under a Flexi-job or Student status.
