L’EQUIPE borrows from these references both symbolic and objective to create a simple structure shaping corridors to welcome the visitors and the staff.
I WHEEL ALWAYS LOVE YOU stands as a premise to what visitors will experience. It is a transitional space, a porous barrier where the notion of passing through is both made visual and sensitive. Visually the installation is an ensemble of expressive and colourful signs that address everyone with this simple message: “come in, come through”. This is reinforced by the explicit use of an arrow motif indicating the direction of the parcours leading to the festival area. As festival-goers are queuing to approach the entrance, they are faced with a colonnade of carwash-like brushes. Those puffy fluffy cylinders narrow the passage in a way that allows only a single visitor to go through, making the ritual of entering the festival an individual and tactile experience.
L’ÉQUIPE architectes is a collective of architect-designer-researchers: Aliki Loïzidis, Maïlys Gangloff, Carla Frick-Cloupet, and Victoire Chancel. The collective started progressively with crossed collaborations of its members, until it recently settled as a fixed and permanent studio by the end of 2024. The projects developed by the studio are situated at the intersection of architecture, scenography, and design, with a particular focus on cultural spaces.
L’ÉQUIPE develops a situated approach, attentive to existing know-how, available resources, and local dynamics. The design process includes the use for material and symbolic ready-mades, gathered within the project via an aesthetic of collage.
Through residencies, prototyping phases, or moments of co-construction, the projects aim to produce welcoming and easily appropriable spaces. L’ÉQUIPE advocates an architecture of situations in which social, aesthetic, and political dimensions are closely intertwined, and where space becomes a support for encounter and the collective imagination.
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
